April is Autism Awareness Month
The month of April is designated as Autism Awareness Month. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], (2023b), this designation encourages acceptance and inclusion of those with autism. The theme of Autism Awareness Month in 2024 is “Celebrate Differences” (CDC, 2023a). In addition to providing an Autism Awareness Month Tookit, the CDC (2023) also offers Autism Research and Resources on their site.
