Between 2006 and 2021, Black student enrollment dropped from 7% to 4% and Indigenous student enrollment dropped from 1% to 0.1%. The Steve Fund and many national experts anticipate that eliminating racial considerations in admissions will dramatically reduce the number of students of color in selective higher education institutions.
