Xavier University Makes History with First HBCU Varsity Rowing Program

Xavier University of Louisiana will make history in fall 2025 by becoming the first historically Black college or university (HBCU) to offer a varsity-level co-ed rowing program. The program is led by Dr. Elizabeth Manley, a Xavier history professor and department chair, and Chlo Jobin from NORC's community outreach team.
