English: This course will make you a better speaker, writer, critical thinker, listener, and communicator. Overall all GE courses are critical to a healthy education and help students have a wider more meaningful perspective on life. These courses expose you to a variety of subjects and help students develop critical thinking skills.

My job at the University allows me to work with students in career exploration from the very beginning of ‘what is a career?’

Student Angelyca Sarrol says the program has given her a place to focus on my studies while also learning more about my culture. A communication major, Sarrol hopes to transfer to a California State University system school in fall of 2025. He published his fi ndings in a 2024 study for The Review of Higher Education.
