The SAVE plan is the newest income-driven repayment plan for federal student loans, created by the Biden Administration in 2023. Parts of the SAVE plan went into effect in the summer of 2023, and all of it was scheduled to go into effect on July 1, 2024, though many aspects of SAVE have been temporarily blocked by court order.
