We have collaborated with the State Board to introduce completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as a graduation requirement, which greatly increases the odds a student will apply to college. Of course, many have rightfully said that access without success is an empty promise.

Because students are motivated to submit the form soon after it becomes available, the majority of completed FAFSA’s are submitted and processed in October and November, so colleges have ISIR’s for many students even before they receive applications from them. How Did This Happen?
