Removing barriers for students to use mentalhealth services is one of the most important goals of college administrations today particularly for students of color and diverse backgrounds. Without a doubt, mentalhealth treatment and counseling must be done by professionals.
University administrators have been reacting in various ways to student activism, from canceling graduations to involving the police to arresting or dismissing students from school, and many schools have begun this school year with all-out encampment bans.
