Sam Houston’s academic success center offers one-on-one tutoring and mentoring. Currently 27% of the student population at GGC is Hispanic. Jernigan said word of mouth about inclusivity has led to consistently increasing Hispanic enrollment. The college also has two bilingual peer mentors.
